The Moon as a Finish
Our impromptu April Fool’s picnic felt like stumbling onto a raw, unrefined mood board. Tucked away down a rugged rocky road, the site was entirely exposed to a relentless wind, completely unbroken by architecture. I was captivated by the stark material contrast of ancient rock formations rising abruptly from the vast, sanded terrain. Because it was the night of the Pink Moon, the scene underwent a dramatic transformation: ethereal, rosy lunar light washed over the coarse, weathered stone, shifting its cold gray undertones into a warm, surreal palette. It was a powerful reminder of how nature effortlessly manipulates light and texture, injecting fresh inspiration into my design psyche.
