A kiss of Pink on Wild Wood

Today’s flower hunt was all about play and contrast: rugged oak branches with tiny acorns, fuzzy grevillea, and pale, woolly Brunia albiflora mixed with soft supermarket blooms. Since it was for a dear friend who loves blush tones and a touch of luxury, I pulled out a clean, hammered silver vase—its cool, dimpled metal bouncing light off the wild boughs and butterfly-soft petals.

Once every stem was in place, though, I wiped my sticky hands, stepped back, and hesitated. It looked pretty, but it felt a little too stiff, and it still needed that signature kiss of pink. Digging through my floral kit, I spotted a forgotten spool of silky pink ribbon. I wove it loosely through the branches, letting the smooth tails spill over in the air . Just like that, the whole arrangement softened, caught the breeze, and finally began to dance.
